London today was ridiculous!
an amazing day.
Started well, though sad as my gf went back to work in Ukraine for an unknown amount of time, I may get t osee her in 2 months but it could easily be 6, but we had an amzing breakfast at Carluccio's (fancy eh?) at St. Pancras on that awesome concourse.
Then I went on the tube, which was less fun, got to Barbican and thought fuck this, got out, wandered around there for a while.
then purposefully strode out to a job interview, which went terribly, as a) I was clearly underdressed, and b) i'm an idiot.
then walked to 14 and co, and bought a wheelset, which is shiny.
then walked from there back to Sloane Square, at which point tired and a bit sweaty in my jeans, t shirt, shirt, woolly jumper combo I hopped on the 22 and went home.
but it made me realise how much of London you never see if you don't allow yourself to get lost.
Like the Bathhouse thats now a cafe near the gerkin, or the random alleyway by the National Portrait Gallery, or the myriad of greenspace that is usually encapsulated by busy office buildings and people don't take the time to notice.
and no city is as perfect as the City of London- that square mile of amazing architecture and infrastructure, when absolutely no one is around.
