...I thought you sold the frame separately to someone else...

-
• #13555

what is the point in giving your height and asking about sizing if the ad doesn't give a size?
-
• #13557
true.sry for the misunderstanding
but how about the bike and its price.? -

The bianchi price is ok I think, but the photos is not the real one, it's a photo from the catalogue so i'd ask to see the bike first.
Theres a thread here about size including a calcualtor to work it out so i'd use that http://www.londonfgss.com/thread20769.htmlAs for your first question:
It depends what you want. If you're after a off the peg bike you can spend anything from about £200 to thousands depending on what you want and how rich you are. It's always fun to build your own from scratch as you get to know alot about bike mechanics and will be able to fix it yourself if it ever goes wrong. Plus you can then choose colour and style to match whatever you want, and it often works out alot cheaper. There's a mechanics and fixing section on this forum and i'm sure someone on here will be able to help you out with advice whenever you need it (though be prepared for some sarcastic comments, just ignore them). Or you could just by an OTP (off the peg) and upgrade it as and when you want. If you wait around the classifieds section on here has some AMAZING deals, but it's entirely up to you. The search function on this forum is also incredibly helpful and there is a large thread of a list of OTP bikes and prices with the discussion of pros and cons on most of themhere http://www.londonfgss.com/thread9085-6.html
Just ask any questions you have by starting a new thread or putting a new post in a related thread. Just make sure you've searched to see if the question has already been answered in another thread.
Hope this helps

That was a different frame (TT spec) i bought to build up a TT bike. This is a different frame, specifically for road racing

there is a great detail i didn't make clear about me.
i live in greece.i ll be visiting uk for a music festival.there are no bike shops here that sell fixed gear bikes appart from specialized langster and kona something.
thats why i want to get one this week that i ll be in london.
but as i mentioned before my knwoledge on fixed gear bikes is only based on my road bikes (geared) knowledge. -

needless to say there are no stores that sell track framesets or stores that sell flip flop hubs.well there are some.but they are so expensive that makes me not even want to think about it. (i am a 22 year old student)

Surly, Giant, Trek all have fixed gears in there line-up for 2009. They are all stocked in shops in Athens too.
If you can find a shop that can order a Fuji Track, that's a very good value track bike.
Don't buy the wrong bike in the wrong size from Gumtree/eBay.

You'll see tomorrow! But normally a pair of good condition Cinelli 67 bars go for £40 at least. These are poorly described and look tatty so may go cheaper than this. But 300-odd people on here have probably seen them so the chance of a bargain has probably gone.

bastard, I was eyeing that up for a week, thinking it's perfect, 100mm stem, drop just about right, etc. until someone posted it here!

Someone just got a not so amazing deal, I'm 99% sure that those aren't the titanium version.

I've seen quite a few people listing SLR XP saddles as having titanium rails. I've even emailed sellers with these dodgy ads. Unsurprisingly they've not changed their ads nor have they posted my question.
SLR XP saddles are the CHEAPER version with steel rails.

i just purchased an unused pegoretti duende road frame frame on ebay.
i just had to share because i am very very excited about owning something made by one of the worlds best artisan framebuilders. -

the ones ive seen are exquisite.
congrats. -

I was watching that one, assuming it was the dark blue one? I was tempted myself as, like you I'd like to own one of his frames, but erred on the side of caution. I'm glad someone who'll ride it won it.
thanks!
