No other model marketplace in the world allows you to cut out the middleman and connect seller + buyer as easily and as efficiently as this forum. With eBay, you have to pay fees, at a jumble you have to hire a stall, on gumtree you don't have a proper audience, in all other forums, you have to be a member for X amount of time or make X amount of posts or pay a fee, like bikeforums.
You don't know how easily seller A got those parts, you can't really say it's more trouble than it seems. I reckon it's far easier to sell on this forum where you can get cash in your hands the next day, or by paypal, less hassle too.
Here's a prime example : http://www.londonfgss.com/search.php?searchid=2687741. This forumer joined three months ago and he already has made around 70 threads, almost all of them For Sale threads, and he doesn't even live in London.
I know the line is blurred and it's difficult to enforce rules, but the issue is only going to get bigger as the forum grows, and the economy stays in recession. I do think something needs to be done, I am just not sure what.
Again, nothing personal towards max72, if I knew you personally i'm sure we'd be friends.
Link doesn't work. But if i'm right that was meant to link to organicorigin? If so, then I had a nice pair of cinelli drops delivered to my door from him this morning. Cheap and easy.
So what's wrong with that exactly? Why does it matter that he joined 3 months ago? People are clearly liking what he has, or he wouldn't have made and sold 70 threads worth of stuff. I really don't understand why this is objectionable.
