• Why are people getting on sellers' cases at the moment? It doesn't matter why he's selling them, if he wants to sell stuff, he can. It also doesn't matter how many For Sale threads he's started, he has every right to do so.

    And I honestly mean no offence lpg, but you have no right to tell him to go sell his stuff on ebay.

    I understand that others have raised the point about mass sellers using the classifieds to make money, but as long as they sell for cheaper than retail, everyone is a winner. I also know the point has been made that the classifieds aren't here for generating a profit for individuals - well, that's not a rule you can enforce, and it would also be unacceptable to dictate in this way. The whole point of the classifieds is to sell fixed gear parts to the dedicated fixed gear community - taking his stuff to ebay would only detract from that ideal, so in a way you are contradicting yourself there.

    Sorry lpg, this isn't all aimed at you at all, but I find it hard to hear what some people have been saying recently - I'm referring to quote in the OP of the thread about rules for classifieds.
