Wanted: Seatpost 24.8 - 23.8 for my pug

Hi there,
looking for a seatpost 24.8 - 23.8
nothing posh as long as it's cheap and cheerful.
I need to use it with a SLR selle italia and the old one is too fiddly to use with this one..

Hello, May have one from an old pug I had, I'll measure tomorrow and post if it's the right size...

can you post a pic as well?, i just want to know what is available besides this crappy type i have if it's different.

i have the same crappy type and doesn't go with the SLR AT ALL (!) it scratches the sides and is too tight on the rails, i'm afraid to break it !!

i went to Decathlon and I bought the adjustable seat post.
unfortunately it doesn't fit:
the tube is 23.4mm diameter (too small for the peugeot) and it comes with two adapter that can make it anything from 25 to 27.2mm
So because the Pug seat post is 24.8 it doesn't fit any of them ( I tried any combination).

Will try to take it back tomorrow.. and maybe just use the old one and make it look like a Citroen with a spoiler :-(

it come with a shim you mean, that's the beauty, you can able to make your own shim to fit the Peugeot.

yes Ed, I think is pretty reasonable for £9.95 and a bit of fiddling with pliers ...
it's very long tho, i might trim it (being myself quite short anyway :-) )

I can also confirm that the Decathlon Technique works fine. I now have a new seatpost installed on my Peugeot.
