Reach fair

ok i was thinking about having a peadle out to reach fair on monday if weather is good then see this

sounded like loads of people up for this last night - so what time should we meet and where? the organised route starts at the Fort on Midsummer Common and seems very regimented with marshall's leading groups of 20 riders from 9;30 onwards. so I'd think we'd be better off starting ourselves off possibly from somewhere else. Maypole? Dragon? Personally I wouldn't mind an earlyish start 10 am would be good. any thoughts? or was this resolved in the pub last night?

I don't think there was a decision made last night but I'm definitely down for an early start. I've got work at 5 in the evening so can't stay too long!

me neither. I'm pretty much going to get there, have a pint and come back!

just spoken to stace, he's up for an earlyish start too - so let's say 10am at the Green Dragon, leaving shortly after. we can filter in between the groups that will be coming up the river from the fort.

I'm setting up and packing up the stall so can do between 10 am and 4.30 pm ?

twas most pleasant! great to have a day ride for a change!
ride back was hard - against the clock and the wind. any more picz?!

Yes, it was a lovely day. The ride back was tough (for Greg anyway, I was holding about six inches from his rear wheel pretty much the whole way back). There are definitely more pictures around and I have some video of the Mayor throwing coins at everyone etc.

Daytime ride are fantastic.

Nice day out chapps.. I have posted some photos.. I erased all of the ones of the maypole children for fear of being mistaken as a peedo not a pedal-ophile. arg..
