  • I don't know what i'm doing wrong, but i want to replace my stock whisk for the nozzle..but when i put in the nozzle i really don't have a clue with what to attach it..theres nothing to screw a bolt in..what am i doing so fuc*ing wrong?

  • you need to get a starnut washer installed
and have you installed the crown race?

  • starfangled nut even im a bit slow today

  • You can knock the old one out of the previous forks and what gogo said about the crown race.

  • you can not re use a starfangled nut
just go a bike shop give them a couple of quid and theyll throw one in all lined up great
usually get it done and supplied for less than a tenner

  • crown race is installed..well thanks for the info..i will go the bikeshop

  • The nozzle has in internal thread already, meaning you don't need a starfangled nut

"Another unique feature is the internally threaded steerer tube, which means you don't have to fiddle around with a star nut; you just push the steerer through your stem and tighten up the internal nut, which is hollow so you can run brake cables through the steerer tube."

If you're still having probs post a pic....

  • so, just put the steerer true your stem, tighten it with the "starfangled nut" that came with the fork, tighten your stem and your ready to go? because i did that allready and thought the fork was loose at the bottom..and then there's the space i don't got to put my stem full on the steerer..how they did that at charge then? another stem?

  • you need spacers to make up any 'space' between the top cap and the stem... it's Sheldon time....: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gloss_ha-i.html#headset

  • right i re-read you post, i had to "and then there's the space i don't got to put my stem full on the steerer..how they did that at charge then? another stem?" Do you mean the steerer tube isn't long enough? the Nozzle has a short steerer tube (19cm i think), i had to return mine and buy a set of DMR trailblades to get enough steerer to fit in my Volume Cutter frame.

If there's not enough steerer tube showing then you need a different set of forks, i'd recommend the DMR trailblades instead...

  • yes there's not enough steerer tube..if i got a smaller frame it would fit..well thank you very much dangeruss! any info on the dmr and dmr 2? and wich mm dropout because the nozzle was 10mm and i only see the dmr's in 14 and 20mm

  • I don't know what i'm doing wrong, but i want to replace my stock whisk for the nozzle..but when i put in the nozzle i really don't have a clue with what to attach it..theres nothing to screw a bolt in..what am i doing so fuc*ing wrong?

There is no way you're actually talking about bikes is there?

DMR Trailblade 2, with 9mm dropouts is what you're after, i guess you'll want the one WITHOUT mountings for brakes?, Wiggle have 2x sets in white at the mo', fast delivery, unless you have a local retailer who has them in stock....
