I had to bite my tongue this morning. Pulled up alongside a girl on Knightsbridge, riding a hybrid set up so low that at first glance I thought she was a child or a midget. She wasn't all that big herself, but the bike was far too small for her, and she had the saddle right down, so that her knees were sticking up higher than her hips when she pedalled.
But I couldn't think of anything to say that wouldn't come across as smug and/or interfering, so I just left her to it.
Big difference between being helpful, and being a patronizing twat.

Struggling up the incline that runs alongside Rotten Row, face like a big pink ham, hulking desperately over his handlebars, slugging away at the pedals like a heavyweight boxer on the ropes, in a completely unsuitable thick blazer...
Andrew Neil!
'Come on! Knees up, Brillo you old cvnt!' was what I wanted to shout, but sadly I was past him before I could do anything other than grin like an idiot.
I don't think he would have noticed tbh. He didn't seem aware of much going on around him. Eyes fixed sightlessly on the tarmac in front of his front tyre.
Well, we've all been there, I suppose.

I knew where I was going and how to get their just not the road names. Where I'm going I don't need no names.
