itm Spider 1 inch forks available for £45 with full size steerer (can be cut to fit any bike). They're the ones without the eyelets. A couple of chips to the enamel which has no effect on performance and is barely noticable.

can that steerer be threaded then? and fit for 700c wheels I assume (can you guess whether short reach calipers would also fit?
