As for Irish Mick: having two mechanical brakes, or one mechanical brake, does not mean you can't stop or slow down with your legs.
i just think it's stupid to put a fancy, expensive brake on a bike that's less practical then a normal brake. my point was that if the chain broke you would not be able to slow down with your legs or the mechanical brake, and that seems stupid to me.
EDIT: i don't really care about care about the whole brakeless thing, i just think if you have a brake it makes sense for them to be independent.
