I got some British Hub Co 'Defiance' hubs, rear needs a bit of work to respace, as it was built for dished wheel for 5 speed freewheel, but has fixed thread too so kosher for your needs. You can haz for cheaps. The rear also has seized up a bit but I think just repacking or new bearings won't break the bank. 40hole rear 32hole front. The rear also is missing it's little grease-port clip cover thingy, shouldn't be hard to get one of those at a jumble or off someone here (there's a guy I sw at Knockolt with zillions of little bits and bobs for old stuff). Also: got a built 40h wheel (front maillard 40h hub, you'd probably bin that) that has a decent Wolber superchamp rim, needs a good polish. I have this rim on my JRJ if you're not sure what they're like. This one I'm selling is a bit older than mine, has a cooler 60s-ey sticker, mine's 70s.
So for finished wheels all you'll need from there is a front 32h 27", some spokes, and the work on the rear hub.
Also I have some 27"x1" Pasela tyres surplus to requirements, used for two miles. You can have pair for £5 less than I paid, will try to find bill, think they were £17 or £18 each.
£20 for old wheel, £25 for hubs, £30 for tyres.

cheers skully. lovely to meet you and cheers for the bits. i'll let you know how i get on with respacing that hub.
still after some olde cranks if anyone knows of a good source.
hi,
loathe to add the plague of want ads lately but am having a torrid time trying to find bits on line. most searches i run lead me back here so i thought i'd just go to the source. aaanyway:
i'm after a half decent pair of 27" wheels. clinchers, rear axle spacing 120mm, track hubs. would prefer box section rims and low flange hubs but am willing to consider anything suitably period-looking. can't quite justify full on campy oldie prices don't what cheap tat either. I guess around the £150 mark would be the limit for complete wheels at present. would also merrily consider hubs only.
also (along with a few other sit seems) after a set of suitably retro looking 165mm cranks and chainring. Would prefer 48T but again am reasonably flexible. budget flexible again but within the same contraints as given for the wheels. I guess £50-60 absolute tops?
thanks good people of the forum.
