Such a good night.
Followed by Toni wobbling all over the road on the way back pissed as a newt on wine, including a wrong-way trip down Viccy Park Rd, a stop waiting for a police car up the road to bugger off so we could proceed homewards in (relative) safety.

results of stage 2 of the 2009 tour of east london.
1 blue quinn 36 mins 34
2 ondine 37 mins
3 tricity (and scott) 50 mins.
various other people started but did not finish; you thought the tour of france was tough !
so stage wins for blue quinn and tricity who each won a rather jaunty lcef cycling cap. well done.
stage 3 of the tour of east london to be held on wed 27 may 2009 at 2000 hrs.

"jaunty" is a very underused word.

general classification after stage 2 of the 2009 tour of east london.

gustav 20
evert and ondine both on 19
tom 18

marlon 15
hillbilly 14

katt and tricity both on 20 points
remember folks there are eight stages in total and it is your top five scores that count so there is still an opportunity for someone to 'max the general' with five wins - 100 pts.
all stages held on the last wednesday of the month at circa 2000 hrs. meet at the pub.

nice to meet some of the East chaps/chapesses last night.
I realise I was too early to meet the hardcore, but I needed a gentle introduction.Hopefully see you again soon, and of course anyone who fancies a trip to the North drinks is most welcome.

quiet night last night, we needs to rally some troops.
Apologies to jonny for bending his ear about the unacceptability of capable fixed riders turning up to forum-organised rides on geared bikes. I was slightly drunk so thanks for easing me through the probable futility of trying to do anything about that one j-ster... ;)
-
• #3123
i need to try turning up before 10 oclock...heh.
-
• #3124
Even when it's quiet I always end up hardly talking to anyone.
Got into a long chat with Terese about ... stuff. She's so knowledgable its quite blinding!
