If you're riding without brakes (or at least 1 as you're fixed) then you should take it on the chin...

Glad to hear you're ok. But let me get this straight, you've got no experience of riding brakeless, you've been riding fixed for a week, and can't control the bike well enough to skid/stop/skip stop etc in an emergency.....and yet you are riding around brakeless in traffic?
Yes. I've been OK with slwoing down when coming up to lights or seeing traffic ahead of me and prepairing for it.
I just wanted to clarify the above before I make any further comments....
I suppose I've got to get a front clamp on for such occations. I know that cars and peds can suprise you, I've just been more alert and cautious since riding Fixed, but I suppose that will only get you so far.
