  • nor could jimi hendrix.

i know he's a repost, cos i posted it, but his voice was awful...

But boy. Could he play the guitar! I actually quite like his voice though. Would agree that Dylan is, dare I say it, crap. Just do not get him at all

  • Kaiser Chiefs = ITV Indie

    Kaiser Chiefs
    Kasabian
    Cold Play
    Razor Shite

Any any of those other indie twat bands (expect The Libertines )

Music for people who don't like music

  • Mike Myers. Literally hateful. Can't think of anything he's done I like. Even Wayne's World.

  • The MIghty fucking Boosh.

  • ... (expect The Libertines )

    ...

    Nobody! Nobody expects the Libertines!

(sorry mike crap joke at your typo)

  • Dare I say, Monty Python's Flying Circus?!

  • Fancy expensive seatposts.

What's the point? It just holds your saddle up.

  • Dare I say, Monty Python's Flying Circus?!

    ...I think you just did!

  • "Jermyn Street" "shirtmakers".

Sellout operations masquerading 'neath the banners of forefathers, peddling shirts aimed directly at the only market that still thinks wearing one means anything - recruitment consultants with cockatoo haircuts and asian wideboys aspiring to the highlife.

  • Oasis

  • Brighton

  • Brighton

A friend of mine who lives in Brighton derisively referred to it as 'Camden Town by the Sea.' That about sums it up perfectly.

    Not far off actually

    Depends on the Shirtmaker.

Harvie & Hudson are a proper old school firm, the last to make their shirts in-house. And the shirts are superb quality. They know a thing or two about customer service: I went in there as scruffy as hell in dirty motorcycle gear and they still treated me like a king.

But yeah, your Thomas Pink, Charles Tyrwhitt and other upstarts can fuck right off.

  • Hilditch & Key are proper but your TM Lewins and Thomas Pinks can kiss my nuts

  • A whole host of "big name" electronics companies Samsung / Phillips / Pioneer who churn out sub-standard equipment, be it LCD TV's, Plasmas, DVD players etc. People still think they're the best cos' they did something ground-breaking in the eighties. Nothing works that well, or for v.long these days, and more often than not will collapse just after the warranty has expired.
And whilst we're on the subject... Guarantees!! You've just spent a shit load of money on a TV/Plasma/Washing machine, and now the cunts want you to buy an extended warranty for an additional wad of cash. For the amount of money they charge you'd expect the item to last longer than one or two years.

ah, hence the quotation marks.. turnbull and asser, catering to the older gentleman, and therefore not pandering to some perceived market chase, still make fine shirts. Not sure about Harvey and Hudson or Hilditch and Key...but yep, Hawes and Curtis, Pink, tyrwhitt, all them jokers... if I see one more sodding cutaway collar "because it's gentlemanly" or slim-fit gaudy "smart casual" shirts - presumably designed so you can get into all the crappest overpriced joints in town who have a dress code - ... jeeezzz....

this is all out of one hurried trip round to get my brother a shirt for his wedding suit...

  • Camden Town= cool in the 80s.

  • Camden is shit. Especially those bastards that sell £5 worth of grass for a score. Not that I buy it obvioulsy. I hate the place. Was ok when I was in my early 20s. Argg maybe I am just getting old?

  • Fancy expensive seatposts.

What's the point? It just holds your saddle up.

    Fancy leather saddles with embossing.
What's the point? You just sit on it.

  • no Camden is monumentally crap.

last time one of dem yoots dem shouted out "skunk mate" to me on a Saturday afternoon I replied "get a real job". It was great to leave him spluttering. I can't believe the blatancy of it all nowadays.

Then there's the euroteens, and then there's the chip wrappers. Yep, Camden is soooooooo crap.

  • Hilditch & Key are proper but your TM Lewins and Thomas Pinks can kiss my nuts

I found T.M.Lewin better quality then most considering the cheap prices they sell at, was treated like a billionare and got some silver collar stiffners thrown in for free!! different strokes for different folks I suppose!

  • Credit Crunch = all retailers are now overly freindly

  • Swine Flu. Apparently the company upstairs had an emergency meeting about it this morning.
