Hi, how can I work out my cadence at a given speed at a given ratio? Is there an easy rule of thumb. I suppose it also depends on the size of your wheels and tyres...
For example 32mph at 42/16 with 700 wheels?
Anyone, class, beulah?
Anyone?
Anyone?
Calculate your gear inches and multiply by Pi.
This give you distance traveled per crank revaloution in inches.
Divide distance travelled (in inches) in 1 minute by this number.
Clear as mud.
(assuming 23mm tyres)
69 x 3,14 = 216,7
(32x63360/60) / 216,6 = 156
