Most overrated - a thread about overrated things

I know it's a cliche to say this, and I know every new generation says it, but most music nowadays really is crap. There is some good new stuff out there but you have to search for it. I never understood the whole it's-uncool-to-like-the-music-your-parents-like thing.

Me neither, my parents have a brilliant music taste. Mother dear did run a record store and is a radio DJ, which might have something to do with it though.

However, they don't really like my fixation with Hardcore and Noise. and my Father HATES lo-fi.
