Is it heresy to point someone to another forum? try - http://www.londonfgss.com/
For all your hub and rim needs. GA2G keeps posting lists of stuff. There is even a sticky listing all the lists....
Not sure if they are that fascinated by weight - strength and longevity are more of an issue.
GA2G you are famous sir

I'd think the TimeTriallingForum wouldn't even have known about this site. Still, a few time-triallists cycle fixed gear, so maybe its one of those that is Pink Elephant. Anyway, the lists are for everybody, so its nice that they're being shared around.

Is there a list for flat pedals and toeclips? I've been meaning to buy new pedals and I know MKS Sylvan are popular but what are other good choices?

Shoes?
Oh keeper of lists, any thoughts on shoes? I know this might be dangerous territory but hopefully the following might be a good template
(I only have experience of Specialized MTB Taho with SPD and I have definitely had enough of them. Have tried on a couple of different of SIDIs worn by other forum chaps and they are pretty appetising - at the moment still trying to work out what to do but hopefully the following can help me and others)
Finally, SJS appear to sell Shimano shoes exclusively but not the one I know so no links to them.
Perhaps:
__
**Cycling shoes **that **you can walk in (MTB/Trainer type shoes)***Shoe - Specialized MTB Taho - £55
*Pros *- good entry level show - trainer like, good velcro fasten over laces - used with SPD pedals
Cons - heavier than a trainer - and way too ugly - very heavy if you get them wet (so waterproof them)
Evans link*Shoe - Side Dominator 5 - c.£135
[*Pros *- replaceable parts, lightweight and v.comfortable]
Cons -
Wiggle link
**
***Shoe - DNB R1 - £47
[some discussion here
Pros - cheap!
Cons - wiggle own brand?]
Wiggle link*etc.
(lfgss poll link**) **which shows a preference for SIDI with SPDs
**
Cycling shoes (**that you **really shouldn't walk in)**Er...

arvy, its a good idea, but at present I'm responsible for a trillion lists already, and updating each individual one takes a minimum of several hours, to a maximum of several days.
PM Smallfurry and get his input. I helped him out with the MTB frames and MTB OTPs lists, so he probably won't mind giving you a hand getting a Shoes List going. You will need to keep updating it though; but if its just the one list, it won't be hard.

Cool,
although my own lists are seriously out of date at the mo. -

You'll never be able to cover them all but a list comprising the main ones, and those that people on here use, would be good. Some shoes are amazing for the money (DNB for example), yet some seem wildly over priced.
My 2p.
Northwave shoes are fantastic for chunky footed lumps like me. I bought the Aerator road shoes recently, and they've honestly improved my cycling pleasure.
Half price here (45, 46):
http://www.cyclesportsuk.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3519I also have these for commuting. They're leather so wear in nice, and you can walk in them despite being both road (three hole) and MTB cleat compatible.
Some 65% off here:

Wot? No list for brakes? Because they are uncool or something?
Shame because I've learned tons from the lists so far, would like to learn a bit more about brakes now. The forum discussions always helps loads.
