our local allycat race was put on and filmed by red bull here in auckland.
i broke my foot in the tricks comp the day before. nuts

Shame the redbull logo is diplayed in the wrong aspect ratio. :( amazing how some 'editors' are unable to differentiate.

Were the police informed and stuff, since it was quite official?

probably, since there was a helicopter landing in the middle of the city, but i didnt see any cops

amazing, very little traffic compared to London and also the filming moto had to to quite a few illegal manouevres himself....all on camera too!

the moto camera guy, i ve forgotten his name, he came over from SF with the mash dude rainier, who won it.
the checkpoints were released 24 hours before the race so the out of towners wouldn't be at a disadvantage. so it really came down to had the fittest legs and to an extent, big balls. maybe took a bit of the fun out of it, i dunno. but was part of a three day event: track, tricks and the alley cat, so i m not complaining. wicked week!

I don't see how the police could have been involved in that.. with all the illegal moves.. mostly from the moto :) Fuck I miss my southern hemisphere roads..

Its really unadvisable to ride a scooter filming with a camera in one hand.

T'was a good fun race, not really an 'alleycat' though, but I still had a good time.

nosferatu, it was just one guy on the ped, he had some weird contraption of a camera with a weird handle on it so he could hold it and let it hang by his side.
