Don't get me wrong back when I was a tournament paintball player I used to carry around 4500psi of air in a carbon fibre tank on the back of my marker/gun. But its much easier to endanger yourself with compressed air, like for instance in a typical bike enthusiasts workshop/place of storage etc there is going to be oil knocking around right?
Well if you get some oil on your pump and it makes its way into the compressed air tank, there is an extremely high chance of it going boom. There was an incident a while ago with a player using a tank that didn't meet safety standard in this country (only had one burst disc in the regulator, and tank wall thickness didn't meet requirements), form what I remember the regulator exploded due to him somehow getting oil near the fill nipple which made its way into the tank, anyway he had major burns, wounding, to his torso, had he felt the full force of the 4500 psi its likely he wouldn't be alive today.

Well thats the official word from the company themselves, some independent sources claimed it was due to the design of the internal liner in the HPA tank.....anyways back to the bike stuff ;)

I'll go and take a look at a couple of pumps. Looks like it will be either a mini-morph or the lezyne pressure drive mini - which gets decent comments elsewhere.

Small seat bag with a spare tube, levers and multi tool to get the wheel off ought to do it.

Topeak Micro Rocket, inner tube, patches and one of those multi spanner things (to get my mudguards and wheel off). Throw it all in a saddle bag. Throw the saddle bag in my courier bag when I'm pootling, and under the saddle when I'm training.

I agree. CO2 carts are wasteful, shit and designed for lazy people who should be slow-roasted over open coals.

small multi tool, co2 canister, pump, tube, park patches, all fit in my jersey pockets.
seems odd that people go on rides with a bag when at most a small saddle bag is all you need.

The funniest bit is that the people carrying bags tend to leave out the actual useful bits of kit and have to borrow pumps, tubes, patches, glue oh and someone to show them how to change a tube..

some change to pay the train home is what i carry with me. in some areas out in the country side some bike shops even have a vending machine for inner tubes.

I've been wondering abou this for ages: Is there a re-usable compressed air canister out there? You should be able to fill one up with your track pump at home, take out, use, and refill when you get back.

unfortunately, you've now ruined your chances of your patentability of this.

it's very easy to patch a tube with out taking the wheel off. saves carrying a spanner around.

the minimorph will easily get maximum pressure in the tire.

carry the mini and a patch kit.

it's a pretty benign setup

...wot no levers? I've had those park patches fail on me several times.

On longer rides (20m+) I carry:

2 Pedros tyre levers
1 spanner
1 set of Park allen keys
1 set of Park patches
1 lighter (to melt the edges of the patches)
1 Lezyne mini pump (most things Topeak are shit IMO)
1 spare tube

On shorter rides I just ride with patches, lighter, levers and a pump.

I also carry a small section of plastic milk bottle and some duck tape. Worked as a good tyre boot a few times.
