50-53 is quite a big range if you are talking about just the seat tube - if 50 is the right size, then 53 will be way too big on a road bike, it will have a 53-55 top tube. Similarly if 53 is correct, then 50 will be too small! How tall is she? I have a couple of frames at the smaller end of that range, a Pinarello and a Bianchi, and a couple at the 53cm end, all depends on the size. All quality steel, can be built up with 8 or 9spd Campy Ergo groupset within the £500 budget.

regarding the size, she's got long legs and I believe she wouldn't have a problem with a 53 seat tube with a short top tube, am trying to keep a flexible range of frames due to short notice. pm sent
My missus has signed up for her first triathlon...without a bike.
Would prefer a steel frame with campagnolo groupset, but not picky as she needs to get some mileage asap, so any set up confy for 60k rides will do.
budget max £500 for something sweet, really looking to spend £300.
all help very much appreciated.
cheers
