http://www.subrosabrand.com/?p=2767 - I would have created a thread but i'm not yet allowed.

  • i drilled mine for a back brake, ha, and dented the seat stay for more sprocket bolt clearance.

  • i like a big bmx

  • Is the seat stay bridge arched? trying to find a clear photo

  • have you thought of checking the website?

  • My brother became an FBM. It runs in the family.

  • hi, I would like to bike the sword but where can I get one (shop online is better for me)
    cheers

  • You want to ride a fat bald man's sword?

  • my first build will be with this frame and the new forks, they are shipping now, not sure on the colours though the new clear aqua/turquoise looks cool. the bikes above are great and obviously borrow a lot form bmx, i ride bmx so i'm down with it. i am curious however gabes - what bb did ya use for it?? i am gonna run my old profiles on there for sure as well

  • Also people, wjhat sizes did people get, i'm 5 10 - i like a smaller bike/tt so was thinking the 51 with 53cm tt? any advice would be cool

  • Hey dude,
My name's Dan from AUSTRALIA. I've just bought an 08 'aqua' sword and all new componentry. Just waiting on the last few things to arrive in the mail this week and will have it built up fingers cross on Friday! They are a great bike in the flesh. Welds are very neat and there has been some serious work put into the 08 rear dropouts. The builders have neatly cut the chainstays and backstays so that the dropouts slide into the stays nice and neat and weld up solid. I have opted for profile BMX cranks with a custom machined BB that uses normal english cups. Other parts include mks gr-9 pedals, thomson seatpost, atomlab bar, profile accoustic stem, animal grips, fsa headset and velocity wheelset. Customised the colours of the parts by getting stuff specially powdercoated.
    Stay tuned for pics!

  • this is my bitchin camero

    best frame i ever bought
alll i need now is the sword and i will be complete

  • blomde matt - bitchin camaro's are the absolute shit - this one looks like a custom though - internally machined headtube - fucking whizz bang, sought the seat post and seat out and the bars and you'll be fucking flying - trails or race machine????

@ gypsy, dan from australia - wtf, there's only one dan from australia and that's me dude

  • now then

  • blomde matt - bitchin camaro's are the absolute shit - this one looks like a custom though - internally machined headtube - fucking whizz bang, sought the seat post and seat out and the bars and you'll be fucking flying - trails or race machine????

@ gypsy, dan from australia - wtf, there's only one dan from australia and that's me dude

yeh man use to be my race machine, i bought it off my mate who couldnt handle it, short back end use to flip all the time when he was manualling, me i love the thing best frame i owned.
im getting piviotal seatpost, them bars are dialled bikes bars which i got for free off mr dialled bikes himself as hes a mate, cut them down after i stopped racing but there a bit short now.

  • Whats forks / stems are you guys running on your swords?

I've got carbon forks and 90mm stem but wanna see how it feels with a bmx stem and straight forks.

If you are a using bmx stem what bars did you find to fit?

  • gusset and ns bikes make 22mm clamp risers, and i'm sure there's loads of other (downhill) companies that do em too.

  • Found some atomlabs with a 22.2 with only an inch rise. sounds good to me. cheers

  • Still waiting on FBM forks. Will post better pics when it arrives and chuck up a spec list.

  • that looks too small for you, you got a lot of seat post, stack height and risers on there

  • That pic was taken wen the bike was freshly put together. Hadn't even ridden it yet before i took that pic. Seat has since been moved, and the size is perfect for me. The reason there is such a big stack height on the risers is that the headtube is so effing small. Just the way they are built up by fbm. So yeah i'll take a more up to date pic when the forks arrive.

  • the headtube size is designed for fork with massive clearance, so it shouldn't be that small for you, like the BMW;

at least that what I think.

  • Thats a BMW fork on the Sword.
