  • dude, you never come out.

    Guilty as charged....

My own stupid fault, have had a week to do this work and have left it till last minute.

  • see you all in an hour or so, i'm really looking forward to this.

  • Is everyone getting excited about the marathon then? Not long now. It's very early.

  • it was pure magic. thanks to all of you. nice number of riders virtually no hassle and a really brisk pace. to all those who dropped out expecting hassle you made a mistake. at one point i thought it must be a trap, the police are being far too helpful and saying good morning as we cycled past and smiling.hope you got back okay mr skully. did i mention breakfast ......mmmmm that really worked. thanks again, i love you all.

  • Awesome to hear it went well, man I'm so gutted I missed this. Did you get to tear down the Mall? The bombsquad stopped us last year :(

  • That was awesome, feel like I've had a nice day out already and it's barely midday. Get that photo up!

  • Pictures please boys!

  • I loved the fact that all the stewards just thought: "Well, if they gotten this far, someone must have okay'd it."

  • sounds awesome guys.. I couldn't make it either due to my back playing up but glad the doubters were wrong

  • good fast pace, didn't make it all the way round as we came upon the disabled race start as we were pelting it towards blackfriars.
glorious weather, good speed, and nice to see coppers with a smile, bemused look on their faces as we raced past, uttering a good morning to all and sundry.
Got lost a couple of times, missed out on a bit of the route down in docklands, but all in all, a good two or so hours on the bike.
    Good work everyone, good work!!

  • Thanks everyone for a great morning. Nice paced ride, nasty fry up. Who could ask for more? Sorry about the detour, must stop following blue lines in road. Hope everyone home safely and watching marathon on tv.

  • Harry Major, Gus, myself and a few others made it round all the way through Canary Wharf. What were you guys doing at Tower Bridge? Picnic? Oh, I didn't see Skully at the end? What happened to him?

  • Gutted I missed this. Got a puncture 10 seconds after I left my flat so didn't make Brick Lane in time. Didn't fancy waiting around Tower Bridge for that lot so tried to get to Shooters Hill. Needless to say I didn't make Shooters Hill in time either due to diversions and Po-Po stepping in my way. Then I got trapped south of the river as I was being treated as a commuter! Long. Bumped into Polowannabe and we had a mission trying to get back north of the river. Oh how I longed to see a group of fixed riders ride past. Epic fail. Glad y'all enjoyed it though. Lovely day out!

  • Hey, I caught you guys towards the end or the ride and ended up in your group photo, I'd just like to say thanks for how inclusive you guys seem to be.

It was fun riding with you for the brief period I did, even if I felt like a bit of a charlatan with gears.

  • Caught you guys towards the end your ride as you shot down past Blackfriars and managed to sneak into the group photo at the bottom of the mall with my two friends on geared bikes...

It was a nice atmosphere this morning for our 3 man peloton as well, we did the bit around docklands (backwards - ooops) before we got told to go away at about 9 ish... Cool morning out and thanks lfgss for the idea!

  • Really amazing ride this morning - well worth getting up at 5.30! Open roads and friendly faces all round. Thanks for the ride peeps.

Got a few pics here. Didnt take many...

  • great ride today, one of my favourite forum rides so far and perfect weather for it. for me some of the highlights were: the slightly unexpected hill climb on the way, all the cheerful coppers that opened up the barriers for us (and the one that tried to send us on the motorway!) and the decent pace as well, it was nice not to have to slow down for cars.

Oh and i cant leave out the cold beans!

  • Great pics (if you click on the link you can see them)
