You're right, bloody expensive: just popped out to get some in prep for a ride tomorrow, and ended up with a bag full of stuff I didn't need from cyclesurgery. Should have stuck (yes!) to my Park patches

I have 3 tubes, all rotating. I keep a repaired one wrapped in clingfilm in my bag, and the patch kit to repair the broken one at home. I don't like fixing them on the side of the road!
Annoyingly one of my Conti Gator Skins has a massive hole in the side wall where a big blob of innertube sticks out. I've tried patching the tyre but... I'm worried I'LL HAVE TO BUY A NEW ONE :(

I think the tubes we get in the uk are all made by Kenda factories. Just avoid superlight ones (unless your racing) and get a valve length that's long enough.
I buy a few at a time.
There doesn't seem to be much discussion of inner tubes on this site.
All I know is that you should avoid lightweight ones like the plague, but does anyone have any specific recommendations?
These darn things seem so bloody expensive.
My only contribution is not strictly inner tube related, but get some Lezyne glueless patches. They are AMAZING and I never carry around a spare tube anymore thus saving weight, as they're so easy to repair on the side of the road.
