  • That sounds brilliant!
I am a bit worried about cycling in heels and dress though...

i'm sure you will look marvelous darling,

on another note, should we all dress in suits with frilly shirts and bell bottoms? disco Stue........

  • Won't be able to make July 18th.. so I'm voting for August!

Hot months for cycling about in suits? Phew!

  • August 1st is in the middle of the Euro's Bike Polo Championship. I think the social committee is working out events for all our visiting players. Might be worth talking to Matt Vidal?

  • Scrapper, that 'Rad BMX dance' looks like it should be an adaptation of an emoxfag tale.

  • bike prom you say? my bmc would like to ask plagiarist's affinity to the dance.

(anyone know where I can get some cheap GHB?)

Ha! Try doing it in a kilt ;) (which I will be)

  • Can GA2G do a list of places we can buy dates?

  • Have you tried a health food shop?

  • Boys, I thought that this would be an obviose way for you to get your ladies to start thinking about a bike.

  • .

  • PS Nhatt do you need DJs? I might be able to deliver some suit-able sounds on the 70-80s disco boogie tip.

it would be great to have this during the polo tournament!

  • I reckon I could spin some KILLER tunes along the lines of Tom Tom Club, Cymande, Talking Heads, Public Image Limited, ESG, Gang of Four, Panda Bear, Au Pairs etc

  • nice one nhatt. sounds like great fun.

lets hope the dj's play some toots and the maytals !

  • I know a female bunch of DJ's (from birmingham) they do a nigh called 'sugarfoot stomp' 1920's-1960's music to dance to. Everything from the charlston, to 60's girl pop. Would really give it a classic 'prom' feel. And suits partner dancing really well.

  • i have a £50 machine washable dinner suit just begging for another chance to be offend polite society :D

  • I think those dates clash with Fluff Fest, especially as I'd like to see some of Europe on the way there/back.

  • Cool. We were thinking about trying to run the second annual Team Awesome Day during the day and then have prom at night, but I think that might be too much organization for me.

We are having the tickets designed and printed (cardstock and gold ink, baby) in a few weeks, and I have a feeling there will be a limited number of them as Tour de Ville will have to figure out what they are comfortable with people wise.

Also, I designed a t-shirt as a fund raiser to help keep ticket prices reasonable, so keep your eyes peeled for a thread selling "dear pedestrian" t's.

  • I'd be happy to put on a short fire juggling show for free if you feel you can work that in anywhere.

  • ^ The above was not a piss take by the way, just in case it came across like that, I genuinely do juggle lol.
