It's fucked. Time for a new frame. Attempting to bend it back will only weaken it further.

What about the downtube and headtube junction? That is likely to be the more dangerous spot.
I wouldn't ride on those forks, but the frame might survive if the downtube is fine, but I doubt it is.

My frame by the way, it's a real pity as I've only really had that frame for about a month
Is it really that bad or would it be ok to ride till I have the money to replace it
-

You can keep riding it but it could fail at any moment. You could crash if that happens so it's up to you to judge if you're prepared to take that risk.

The forks as they are = death trap.
The frame... weakened at the front and may have severe damage inside which you can't see = significant risk of failure. If you swap the forks and decide that as you've got dental and health insurance you'll accept the risk... then carry on. But you'll be doing it with the knowledge that it's pretty fucked and pretty damn dangerous.

do whatever you can to make him not ride this bicycle.
if you dont you could lose a friend.
dramatic?! ............... yeah death is dramatic.

over the years millions of bike frames have been produced, and a good many of them are still around and better than that one. Junk this one and get another frame. And a brake.

For £99 it's an excellent deal. They are very robust frames.

£140 frame and fork is pretty good for a decent frame.

• #20
what size do you use?
-

About 58cm, I'm about 6 or 6 1
I know this topic has come up before but is this frame too unsafe to ride on the roads?
I know its hardly ideal but will it hold up ok for normal day to day riding?
He is fairly broke and cant really afford a new frame and a fork too if we cant bend it back.
Anyway let me know what you think,
thanks.
