That should be fine.
If you want them to be really secure you could get the BMX ends which expand with a phillips screwdriver - couple of quid.

Huh? You don't even need to tuck the brooks bar tape in, they're already cut precisely so you can start on the edge without needing to tuck it in.

My Brooks cork ends fell apart too! Tried to tap it in and it just broke in half... Now just using standard black ones that just don't look the same... :(

they dry out in the packet - soak them in olive oil for a couple of days before you stick em in your bars, they wont crack then.

TBH I was more frustrated with adjusting my centre pull calipers, but thats another story.

I must've installed the same brooks tape several time on several bars, that's the thing I love about the Brooks tape.

Right now it's in my box waiting to be used again.
