I'm 6'2" and this fits perfectly: http://www.londonfgss.com/thread9694.html
Not quiet what you are after, but an incredible bike. I'm just not riding it.
As I am feeling the credit crunch at the moment it would be handy to sell it.
I may ask to buy it back when I am slightly better off!
Too big for me - 24.5" effective top tube would stretch the buggery out of me....
Nice bike mind!

Is this as heavy as I think it is? I suspect it's over-engineered for my purposes. Don't need 150mm travel at the front.

Whereabouts are you based? Happy for you to take it for a spin just to see what it's like.
I've never felt stretched out on it, and we are pretty close on height.

Based in SW18 - but spin restricted for 2-3 weeks :-(

The bike has been in the under stairs cupboard since it's last full strip down and rebuild service- which was over a year ago, so it's not going anywhere fast.
Let me know when it's convenient and I'll chuck it in the back of the car and head over.

It is quite heavy but also extremely robust. It's quite nice knowing you have the option of taking it downhill and that it will eat most boulders and roots you throw it at. I've done the South Downs Way on it and didn't feel it was slowing me down.

Probably not for me - not going to be doing any radical downhill boulder hopping!

Just re-read the initial post and thought I'd add that my road bikes dimensions are exactly the same as yours, so the mountain bike might be a better fit than you think.
