  • Awesome, that was actually my guess on the last page.. I remember driving around the lake when the sun was rising over the mountains/lake, it was amazing..

It's a nice place to live. Just finished my bike so going to try and hit the 40km tour du lac. Hope I can get up the hill though...

  • Yeah but it's a Cromor my Kotter has engravings and crome fork and stays as well and it is a Cromor. There is plenty cromor frames with chrome, paint detailing and engravings arround.
This frame is most likely from a german ebay seller who has sold lots of NOS ciöcc's. The picture is just taken from one of his auctions. Here is another from the seller and another ciöcc cromor. Cromor is a decent steel (reminde of the steel shootout articel)
If you think of cromor as a steel it is so bad that it's not worthy to paint nice or do some chrome work than I just can say viral marketing has the job done right! Sureplus, nutty customers, no knowledge or/and experience when it comes to SLX CROMOR 531 Tange & co ... oh and a trace VOODOOO not to forget! But you are right the top of the line have much in common with the frame above.
No offense...but difference are so minor for hobby riders and even pro's couldn't say which steel they ride until a decal is on it.

Look at the nice tubes in pic3. Top down and seat tube are twisted like this...and it's a cromor :)

The german gut had a blue and a white with the crimped and twisted tubeset - neither were my size - otherwise I would have dropped the hammer - week after week - I was ogling the beautiful ciöcc 's.

  • yepp the guy is born lucky...sold over weeks ciöcc all NOS...last items where those brooklyn gios frame..

Edd13 on this forum has one of those Ciocc frames in white this is what he told me "The seller was a nice chap. Apparently he bought all the frames, including some Gios Super Record commemorative edition, from a bike distributor in Baviera who imported top Italian bikes in the 80s and early 90s and was about to retire"

  • Really silly question i'm sure, but I just got my first "older" roadie and it's got that same black rubbery looking stuff in the centre of the hub, anybody tell me what it is, or why it's there?

That bike is pure porn by the way, loving the shifters and gear cable outer!

  • hub cleaner

  • a cover for the oil hole
you can grease the bearing via a hole under that protector

  • Ahh that makes sense, thanks guys.

  • can anyone tell me the gear ratio?

  • Kalavinka carbon track??? As seen on PedalMafia:
