  • whoops...cat bag...out it goes.

it will be in all the papers tomorrow anyway. at least this way we get to own it.

  • joking aside the bike is lovely... the clearance on the back alone is worth owning a bike that old, and the colours and the decals are lovely.

  • You're wierding me out Ray. all your other posts today have been utterly bonkers. Probably that one too^. Like that one about pilchards @ Sano ... Have you forgotten to take all of your special pills today?

  • looks great skully. i think these would look better though.

  • Yeah, lots of people telling me similar, or to move the drops ones I've got on there. I think I'm going to go back to drops on this bike, the Belleris are an experiment which doesn't seem to be going that well. I liked the idea of them a lot more than actually riding them.

ha if you were looking at stuff like this youd be a bit nuts too...

  • Beautiful Skully. Am building something very similar but with a Sturmey hub. Will post pics when completed. I love what you've done there ^^. One for the porn thread - well done.

  • All done...
    finally

Shouts out to Gabes, Shinscar, Keith, Gav, Marcola & Odge without whom, it would look v.different.

    sickening.

  • After having the Chubs and Planet X rims lying around for almost 7 months I finally got my act together and got the hubs laced to the rims.

  • I must say that there are some lovely projects coming to fruition on the last couple of pages. Good work folks!

Oh aye, shootthebreeze, skully and provenrad's bikes are all lush and completely different.

  • After having the Chubs and Planet X rims lying around for almost 7 months I finally got my act together and got the hubs laced to the rims.

Chub rear and that rim is totally bonkers ... the spokes are tiny! Is it laced 2x ?

  • the last 3 bikes are pure porn! sexytime!

  • A-mazing.

    What's that rear rim?

    EDIT: Planet x, I see

  • Chub rear and that rim is totally bonkers ... the spokes are tiny! Is it laced 2x ?

It's 2x, couldn't find a builder that was willing to build it 3x for me, hehe. The guy building the wheels hates me after this. He's one of the best wheelbuilders in Stockholm, but it took him 7 hours for the rear wheel.

  • that bike is a mindfuck bubblan...

  • Well its a start no idea what I am going to build next but it will be fixed.

  • After having the Chubs and Planet X rims lying around for almost 7 months I finally got my act together and got the hubs laced to the rims.

    awesomeness.
not too keen on the rear wheel... but awesome non the less.
i'll always have a soft spot for lo-pro's with 700's front & rear.
    good work.....

  • sweet cheers.

americans pronouce - haddock... hadd'ock that made me laugh TBH

    Huh?

  • After having the Chubs and Planet X rims lying around for almost 7 months I finally got my act together and got the hubs laced to the rims.

  • After having the Chubs and Planet X rims lying around for almost 7 months I finally got my act together and got the hubs laced to the rims.

I wanna see more pics! Very nice ride, can't help thginking there is a kind of optical illusion that makes the rear wheel look smaller than the front which is a bizarre look for a bike that slopes the other direction. Love it though!

  • Just rebuilt the gf's bike.
It was a sunny day and I'd done loads of work, so thought fuck it.
    I hate gears.
had to rebuild the wheels, and sort out some serious Wiennmann brake issues.
May convince her to go SS, but don't know.

    Bike:

gf on a bike ride to Port Meadow, taken by me on my bike in front:

  • eyebrows, was that just before you crashed into a parked white van? :-)

  • Bubblan, those are some serious rims but also some damn big hubs too! What are those? Spokes are gonna get shorter and shorter ftw!
