Ok, here's the crack ladies, gents, and Veds.

TNRC - North Downs ride : Tuesday 5th May 2009

The train to catch departs London Victoria 19:09. The usual early meet to obtain tickets, and to hopefully grab a good spot on the train as soon as it arrives from it's inward journey will be required. I will be there from about 18:30 onwards. It'll be departing somewhere between platforms 1-7, these are on the far left hand side of the station as you enter.

Suggested meeting point is in and around the West Cornwall Pasty shop/hut, this is located next to Boots opposite the ticket barriers to platforms 2, 3, and 4. There is a Paul pastry shop nearby for anyone who likes to eat fancy bread before a ride. I'll be popping into the nearby MacDonalds.

Arrival in sunny St Mary Cray is scheduled for 19:35. Depart station for a 35 mile hilly jaunt around the North Downs. I estimate that, with stops to retrieve the stragglers, this ride will take approx 2 1/2 hours.

With that in mind, the return trains to London look something like this:
    St Mary Cray-Victoria
    22:07-22:32
    22:26-23:03
    22:47-23:14
    22:56-23:23

And so on until the last train at 23:49 from St Mary Cray. SHOULD leave us plenty of additional time for punctures, or maybe even a quick beer.

The route is to be confirmed at some point next week. I would say that only two of the climbs are on a par with anything found in the Surrey Hills ride. I got told off for referring to the Rye ride I created for MA3K last year as 'lumpy', but aside from these two climbs this is how I would describe the rest of the route.
