I was riding my rollers tonight. For a second, I thought, 'there's a slim chance that my 2-year-old son could wake up, stagger inquisitively down the hall behind me, and stick his fingers in my rear wheel'.
Then I thought, 'whatever, I need to focus on my pedal stroke.'

thats so funny , i thought i was the only person that did that :-)
if they hopped lanes to do it i intentionally let the cars in the hopped from lane move by smoothly and quickly so they wished they had stayed put. -

I've been riding gears, buying a car both of which don't equal touching Gary Smiths knee. I very much enjoyed this.

On Monday I was informed that my finger was still broken (I think because of road vibrations, but havent admitted as much), and that I needed to be careful with it. The doctor informed me that rugby (how I broke it) was definitely out of the question. My 9 month pregnant girlfriend echoed his views (although a lot less politely).
Last night I went along to practice 'to help out with the coaching', and within 5mins I was playing. Apon arriving home I went in the back door and dug a dirty towel out of the llinen basket, to dry the sweat off. Went into the living room and lied through my teeth*.
(*she knows I was lying, and I know that she knows, she might even know that I know that she knows. Its how our relationship works)

I work as part of a multidisciplinary team that specialise in treating obese children, and yesterday I totally neglected to be the professional.... picture this......
A child of early teens is threatened with some kind of knee resurfacing/replacement because his/her weight is so high, they can't support their own weight.
And then i meet the parents for the first time...... -
