Lovely bike - probably more than I had intended to spend on Mrs S's. Had that been a large, would have snapped it up for myself. Unless your friend is significantly negotiable, bank manager probably says no!
I'm in the shithouse if Mrs S reads this......

I am selling this . . . .

do you really need a large? i'm 6ft1 and ride 17/18in or medium mtb's?
i guess if you want a stretched out arse in the air race position then a large would suit. -
• #6
I have had this on gumtree for a week or two without much interest.

PM me if interested. Will accept reasonable offers -

Interesting - how tall are you? Would probably want to put a fork on - I've no idea what I'd need or what the frame was designed for - 100mm travel? It'd be helpful if you could provide some guidance?

Willo I have this
http://static.londonfgss.com/memberpics7925-albums519-picture3062.jpgKona medium 16 inch seat tube. Marzzochi forks are in amazing condition and a new fsa headset and un 51 bb still smooth as silk.
I have as decent set of shimano hubs and alex rims, full deore shifters and drive train, all running gear just needs to be put on, cables etc all go straight on.
I am asking 200 for the lot but for another 50 will throw in mechanical shimano disc brakes and shimano disc wheelset instead of the deore brake levers and wheelset.

well. I am 6 feet 2 and this was the biggest I could get. You can see the seat post is pretty high. So it would be fine for 5'10 and over
It was serviced about 6 months before I bought my next bike, about 18 months ago and barely ridden since.
Its probably around 10.5 kgs. Can't be certain though

I also have this, the mrs current town run around. 07 Specialized Hardrock sport with whatever of the above combo's on it, full deore and or disc brakes/wheelset (the rear is the disc wheel actually, haven't got around to putting the discs on yet or the front wheel. This will be a little cheaper as frame and forks not as good quality I feel.
Cheers
Dan

i think you should go to a shop and buy something new from giant/specialized/commencal/trek/marin. that way you will get the right size if you go to a decent shop.

It is a high end XC bike designed to be ridden with - i am 6ft - here is what it looks like geared up - the fork it comes with has 80mm travel.

I'm 6'2" and this fits perfectly: https://www.londonfgss.com/thread9694.html
Not quiet what you are after, but an incredible bike. I'm just not riding it.
As I am feeling the credit crunch at the moment it would be handy to sell it.
I may ask to buy it back when I am slightly better off!

Off topic I know, but we're looking for 2x hardtail mountain bikes for trail riding at the weekend with the kids.
I'm 6'1" and ride a 60c-t, 58c-c top tube road bike - I guess I want a 19" / large in mtb size
Mrs S is 5'10" and rides 54cm/55cm road bikes - I guess she is looking for a 17.5" / medium
Don't want crap, don't want carbon, don't want rear suspension.
