I don't think anyone uses it as standard at the moment, and yeah I know about it being the standard in bmx, they tried to push Euro BB's on bmxers but they just weren't strong enough, smaller bearings and the threaded cups being the problem.
Mid BB's are the toughest, always have and always will be....well US bbs were the best, but Mid BB is a lighter better modern alternative that is more than strong enough :). Oh i'm not going to FBM for my frame, i've got something home grown and handbuilt in England in mind......
