A small point that needs to be made.
You can choose a great T shirt with a fantastic design , but what if the cost of production mean you make no money....
Sorry to be a Sir Alan, but the shirts got to look good and make money.

• #605
they'll be priced in order to make money
-
• #606
£20 each should be enough to print em and flog em at small profit.
-
• #607
last year they were £15 and we still make a profit, me thinks

Not with a 9 colour screen print ! (colour 'Anatomy')

Hipster profit fail. Monochrome FTW.

Monochrome looks better and would be much much cheaper.
And we all know how tight cyclists are.

for those who haven't read the original post, design comp, runs through april, then poll goes up in may so people can vote for the t-shirts they'd pay for, off that t-shirts are chosen to be put into production...

How about a reference sheet of tools for bolts, skid patches, gear inches, common torque amounts, etc.
Then invert the whole thing... so that when you wear it in your workshop you just have to look down and you have a reference for anything you're likely to look up. Or when you're at beers, look down and you'll be able to quote someone the number of skid patches they have, etc.

I really really like this, and yeah I think stuff like gear inches is pretty important!
I've made a little design with a chart for GI's............I need your advice and voice to hear what you want to be added....infact they are being made for all ya'all folks so there's a chance to get a shirt with things you actually want.
I.E. is 11>24 sprocket and 22>54 c.ring too much or too little of a range? Do you want colours or not? Do you want the chart on the front or on the back? Larger or smaller size? Do you want skid patches too; anything else? Do you want it to say anything stupid like londonfgss geek table???
anywho, here:
I have a ton of ideas for this, but I need to hear what ya'll people think would be good to add/remove as my ideas don't always clash with what the general public is interested in.

I think the idea of it saying 'do a skid' instead of 'gear inches' and having 'http://www.londonfgss.com' somewhere would be good.. I like the red/white/blue

Take that last table.
Now create a skid patches table of similar height, put it to the right... put SKID PATCHES underneath it.
Now you have 2 tables, and side by side they are wide... project a square from the width of the two tables, and put those two tables at the top.
Now list data and golden rules: "Everything on a bike is threaded the same way except for the left pedal and the lockring"... etc.
If you've got space left, do a table of spoke patterns, "Spoke Pattern Recognition". You only need to put a quarter of a wheel in the view, in diagrammatic form.
So now you've got a large square cheat sheet of everything geek/nerd about riding fixed.
Rotate that table 180'. Yup, turn it upside down.
Put the new table onto a shirt... so that you the viewer merely has to look down, to have a reference of everything at hand.

yowza, might be a bit too much, ill see if i (or someone else) will be bothered to give all that a go. I do like a "cheat shirt" though ;)
How limited are we in design by the way, i.e. will it be possible to print front and back, how many colours etc...?

I love love love love love that gear inches design! 5 3 motherfucking 1.
I did suggest gear inches earlier on in this thread but got no response. this is better than my idea though and well more useful!
"do a skid" is awesome also!

Gear inches could have many bands: Track, Street, Polo.
I think Velocio aka VB should put the poll pretty soon, we have a lot of good looking Ts
