They make terrible dinner plates, food just falls through the spokes.

quality seemed to be quite inferior but as far as budget wheelset go, it's alright.

I used them for a while. Nothing special but I never had any problems.

V. Solid builds, good hubs (better than formula's etc. IMO). Rode them for a while with no complaints. Prettu bomb proof if you ask me.

i haven't seen the track wheels, but halo mtb wheels are naff. Shiny colours but poor quality, there pinned rather than pinned+welded. poor quality product sold on marketing hype.

My two cents: I have a Halo Freedom Disks on the mountainbike and Helo Aerorages on the hipster bike, I ride pretty hard on both bikes (it ain't pretty at all, actually - lot of badly landed bunny hops, crashes all the time, etc.), but the wheels are holding up much better than my previous wheels.
You get a lot more than you pay for, cos they don't cost all that much (as far as nice wheels go anyway)... Not the lightest or prettiest wheels around, but very abuse-resistant in my experience.
