Bad news, really sorry to hear about this. Will keep a look out.
Are those brembo radials and titanium termis on a 996? Nice Duke!

you're lucky they didn't take the ducati, although price wise they aren't that far apart.

that's funny! I got one of the first sets of Lightweights that came into the country, then got the first pair of Ventoux - the rear broke and they had to recall all the rears they produced up to that point, I got another standard as a replacement, then found that Zabel used exactly the same setup :)
The wheels are safe and sound in the cellar, but me and and my mate were up half the night installing PIRs, alarms, security locks and lights. This morning I had to re-do all the locks that I'd put in cos they were the wrong way round.
This Duc (little asbo) is kept somewhere else, but there was one next to it that the probably couldn't get through the window and over the fence. 998s btw - a bit tricked up (60mm 998rs system there) - 153 at the wheel, but not for the road. I don't think Oliver would approve if I rode that in a bus lane.

FUCK - Sorry to hear that. At least it won't be easy to shift on eBay/Gumtree as a whole. Even if they split the SRM, Frame and wheels should be pretty easy to spot.

What is that thing on the crank?
ps. hot
pps. will keep an eye out for you

why is cycle insurance so expensive?
Because the risk of a bike getting stolen is relatively high.

Ouch, feeling your pain Jerry (having just had my Parlee nicked yesterday :()
At least ours are bikes that will easily standout so should, hopefully, make it more likely that someone will spot them

I have a feeling that a lot of these high end bikes are stolen to order, and then shipped off to europe, in much the same way that high end motorbikes and cars are.
I had one of 10 Husquavarna SMR's in the country stolen back in 03, turned out that i had been stalked for 2 weeks by the thieves to see were i kept it etc - they even took pics, by my reckoning to se if they could find a buyer befroe stealing it, who then used liquid nitrogen to freeze through 3 locks, and then shipped the bike off to eastern europe, never to be seen again - i later discovered that the gang who did it were based out a dodgy repair shop, and when they were busted the police also found several high end MTB's in the garage, all ready to be shipped off with the motorbikes

Try posting on the weight weenies forum, has a pretty much global membership, and any potential buyers could well be posters on there

d'younow, I'd love to think the bike has gone somewhere it will be appreciated, but the fact that they left a very similar C50 and a Seven but took Henrys Specialised says that they haven't got a clue. To cap it all, the KTMs oil light came on today...

To your credit, you're taking it extremely well. I don't think all my bikes put together would even cover the cost of your SRM setup.
I don't know what to say - I had a totally unique mountain bike taken almost a year ago, and as much as I know there's not a single bike out there like it, all this time later there's still been no sighting - even of parts.
Anyway, I hope you have better luck than me, and it's good to see you've already got more security sorted out at your place. Best of luck.
