Yeah, I swear the only people who use the word 'hipster' are 'hipsters'.
agreed. it's such an annoying word.

Loafer crew of portsmouth? More like loafer crew of Dalston, they're well part of the hipster uniform at the moment, along with slicked hair and a certain style of wax jacket that makes you look like a Parisian teenage girl.
What I meen is, the loafer, trowsers, untucked shirts of people trying to look like they are got going out looking for a fight before going out and looking for a fight. The clucher that is bred from dress codes in bars and clubs.
There are no places in Shorditch with a dress code that I have found. I hate being told I can go into an estblishment because I am wearing the wrong cloaths.

Hipsters move in, estate agents clock it, area gets gentrified, all the good people get priced out, area ruined... What Graham said really...
I dont agree with this at all... in my experince the "good people" or "locals" as i know them are just a bunch of inbred benefit thieves who do nothing but bring an area down and breed dickhead kids that then steal everyones bikes...

What's amazing about those photos, apart the obvious, is the large amount of fast food litter in every shot.

You really don't.
At one point the beat boxer starts grunting like a constipated Rottweiller and at another the "rapper" is going on about Dolce & Gabana.
Mainstream rappers namechecking their own designer labels pretty much stabbed hiphop to death and renamed the twitching corpse R&B. Namechecking someone elses designer labels is pretty much happy-slapping the corpse in the pursuit of jeuvenile glory. The biggest victim is always the viewer.
+100 This is probably the best description of the utterly shit transformation that HipHop has made recently.

Those Cardiff shots were great (from a photography sense) but there weren't enough Greggs wrappers for my liking
London is a great place and you get hip cats, wannabes tagging along, scabs and decent folk, i wouldn't say certain areas are too full of any of the above.
Sad thing is the original Hipsters were intelligent talented and on a mission. they pushed music and intellectial thoughht.. Calling this bunch of fashion followers who dress up in the bizzarest mesh of clothing you can drag out of a charity bin isn't hip.
They are teenagers and they will grow out of it
