We're very lucky - no broken bones, just feeling pretty bruised. B was leading us past the old electricity substation in Stokey, and a car parked with its lights off flung open the drivers door without looking as we were already alongside. B was thrown into the middle of the road (luckily no traffic) and I went straight into her bike and over my handlebars. The most infuriating thing was the driver complaining about the damage to his door, and generally being a complete prick.
Time for a daylight inspection of the bike damage - I think B's fork is fucked. Amazingly the Gran Compe wheel on the front remained true, but enough force passed through to bend the forks. But as we kept telling ourselves, we're so lucky for no breakages or head injuries.
