unless they start making something along the lines of the forks you mentioned

• #28
most track frames are tight and have toe overlap.

You want a track frame with plenty of clearance? You just need to learn to ride faster.
-
• #30
not saying a track frame should have tons of clearance, just that i personally dont like it.
-
• #31
the 14 frames aren't really meant for the track though, are they.
i would say they are pretty much aimed at urban riding, hence the need to sort out the overlap.
if i wanted a track frame i would get a track frame.
not a 14 frame. -

Even one of my road frames has nasty toe overlap, but it has never been a problem for real riding, might get in the way if you are dicking around trying to do tricks though. Not suprised the ride is really uncomfortable with a 650 up front, just put the 700 back on and you will get used to the overlap.

the main reason for selling is that i don't get along with the angle of the frame 700 or 650, the overlap is just a personal bonus

last bump

here a thought, why don't you ask John and Duncan about exchanging the frame for a normal one?
-
• #36
can't believe this hasn't sold.
you should take a photo of it with 700's front and rear.
it looks a bit harsh in that photo. -
• #37
looks like this with two 700's.....

• #38
ill say it again, love your army bike.
-
• #39
thanks.
i love it too.you should buy this one, and then you can have your own.
not in this colour though.... this colour is mine!*
*Appart from the other one in 14 that they painted the same god damn colour!
-
• #40
i think this a bit of sale fail, this needs better and more pics
-
• #41
why don't you try another fork with more rake or bigger spacing around crown

If you decide go that way I have a charge pulg fork, going spare. it has more rake than that one.
but I don't know why, i think he want to get rid off this bike

Quicky, im 5.10 (178cm), usually ride 54cm Frames, this would be too big, yeah? Like the bike, but reckon its too big.
-
• #45
I will say have a ride on it

Condor Pista - bike designed for urban riding & no toe overlap. Low hipster points tho. -
• #47
i'm 5'7, and ride this frame in a 54.
i think it would be perfect for you.and they have a 1 inch steerer Rik, so the plug forks wouldn't fit.

Overlap? htfu

i was well annoyed when i saw it.... i couldn't believe they didn't think it would bother me.
i'm not keen on the matching green rims on it though. -

I would never ride a Condor.
Never.
the toe overlap is something 14 really need to sort out. they would only need to change the head tube angle very slightly, and i really can't see this being a huge problem for the frame builder.
it does seem strange that they are still making these frames with the same geometry, even though they are aware of the toe overlap.
hopefully it can just be put down to their lack of experiance though, and not ignorance.
