dont those 14 frames run 700's on the front noramlly? rarther dont they have 700 forks?
-
• #8
the frames are designed for 700's front and rear.
no wonder you find it uncomfortable.i ride the same frame in a 54, and it's the most comfortable bike for riding round town i've ever had.
-
• #9
the forks a 700, ive got a 650 on the front because i cant deal with the smallest amount of toe overlap
-
• #10
...for that reason im out.
-
• #11
the toe overlap is annoying.
i'm thinking about ordering some custom geekhouse forks for my frame to cure it. -
• #12
fair enough, i assume youve tried riding it with a 700 before putting it up for sale?
-
• #13
yep - other than the overlap the bike is great, nothing bad to say about it
-
• #14
to be honest, it hasn't really caused me any problems, you just have to be conscious of it when filtering in traffic at low speed.
but yeah, apart from that, great frame. -
• #15
I have a really awful overlap on my old bike, but frankly you're only going to get it if you're riding incredibly slowly, at normal speed around town, it didn''t occur.

might come down tommorrow to have a look if its still available . -

does that work ? not the 650 at the back but ....
putting a 650 in a 700 slot ? would the geo be completely screwed as the forks / frame were designed for 700 ?what actuall size difference is there between a 650 and a 700 in cm ? 1-2 ?
-
• #24
i don't know the exact difference between them but ye, it works fine probably not ideal but fine
-

it solved my overlap problem without having to change the forks
Hello..
Im selling my 14 Bike Co. frame+forks. Its size 56 light blue speckled lo pro. The frames tubing is Dedaccia and the forks Columbus. I got the frame and forks from John and Duncan as a thank-you for helping them with a few things at the start of 14, unfortunately I didn't realize how much I don't like the riding position and only ridden it about 5 times = Clapton to Shoreditch, hence the reason for selling.
I don't have a tape measure to hand to provide the measurements of the frame, i will try and sort this out by tomorrow, or if you prefer I work close to 14 so could come and meet pretty much anytime during work hours with the bike.
I will include the headset and bottom bracket.
