  • read about the speediness of recovery and other risks involved so didnt push the pinning option any further. somewhat true that it doesnt serve a real purpose, but it can be awkward carrying a loaded backpack cos i can feel it 'stretch'. bench pressing days are over as well cos that hurts...meh.

the split is still there according to my last xray (at 12wks i think). guess that makes me special :p

  • I can still bench press and climb but my bone is only partially unified so it audiably clicks every now and again (there's no pain though).

However, I still find carrying a rucksack a pain as it puts wierd pressure on the lump in the middle of my collar bone. That said, I've had no issues using all four cross straps on my messenger bag.

  • I may have missed something, willo, but what actually happened? Sorry if I may have missed you posting about this in another thread or be unable to remember it.

  • you can't ride your current fixed wheel bike, but you can simply build a cruiser to go around town in that doesn't put pressure on your collarbones, especially if you sit in an upright position.

did that a while ago when i broke my wrist, definitely worth it for the next 6 weeks wearing plaster (rear brake too, best to slow down gradually).

your 30 minutes commute will become an 1 and a half hour commute, just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Fell off racing my time trial bike in a duathlon...... Don't ask!

  • Recover quickly!
