Just a question but I was in there today and they seem to know fuck all?
Like I said I was gonna run radial on my front and the guy was all like "No, do 3x, radial is far weaker". I said that's what I wanted anyway and he gave me a withering look. I was tempted to explain that radial is not in fact weaker than 3x per se, depends on force vectors and so on, but I could not be arsed.
Then some clueless noob came in asking about risers, they did not have a fucking clue? I could have told him straight off. He was like "I want risers on my bike, dunno how that works" and they were all confused and shit?
Oh and the final nail in the coffin, I asked how much they would charge to fit and tension a chain. Cos I have a 1/8 chain but no tool, so I was wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a tool or just get them to do it. Guy told me "35 quid, cos that's heavier, that's track chain". WTF? I can buy the cracker from hubjub for like 15 quid?!
Is this normal from BLB? They got some nice frames but really they want to charge 35 to break a chain?! Jokes...
