• My hair is basically a helmet. My secret?

Because you are worth it!! (in penelope cruise voice)

  • My hair is basically a helmet. My secret?

This is my helmet. It works.

  • I feel safer with my helmet on, thats all I can say with certianty. Wether or not this is true, is not something I would like to test out.

I should point out though, that while I was reading the cycling topless thread, I found myself thinking 'would'nt it hurt if you came off?'. As if a lycra jersey offers some sort of protection, numpty.

  • everyone should wear a lycra jersey. in fact it is irresponsible to ride without one. To illustrate this, consider this experiment

Put your lycra jersey on then rub your torso against a pebbledashed brickwall really hard, then remove aforementioned jersey and repeat the process. its a matter for the individual, but ill wear my lycra jersey.

  • Whilst in New York i didn't see one rider wearing a helmet. and they sure drive crazy out there! i thought london was mad, did spot a few wearing them in Chicago though.

  • I used to ride far more recklessly with a helmet on....

  • Put your lycra jersey on then rub your torso against a pebbledashed brickwall really hard, then remove aforementioned jersey and repeat the process. its a matter for the individual, but ill wear my lycra jersey.

Man alive, are there sexual undertones all over this thread or am I a bit naughty in the head.

  • -helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off-helmet on - helmet off

    YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

  • I've decided to get one, not because it will make me any safer, but I think a few quid to stop the nagging I get from everyone is worth it.

Anyone know a Catlike dealer in central London?

Nag them back with the facts:

Anyone know a Catlike dealer in central London?

    Try tricitybendix.

  • I would, but it's one of those subjects where people stop listening because they've already made up their mind. It's a bit like I'm always trying to persuade my friends to switch bank accounts, because you can get up to £150 for doing so, plus a better interest rate, free travel insurance etc. etc. etc.

But they just go 'oh it's so much hassle' - even when I tell them that they do it all for you and it's really not. And stop listening.

Plus to be fair I do think a helmet can help in certain types of instance. But I'm still not planning on crashing.

Does tricitybendix wear a helmet? I'm guessing yes given these 88mph alcohol fuelled trips she allegedly does, but I don't really know who she is.

Could have worded that better though!

  • Anyone know a Catlike dealer in central London?

my dealer's got whiskers and a general feline demeanour. does that count?

  • holy crap

  • Whilst in New York i didn't see one rider wearing a helmet. and they sure drive crazy out there! i thought london was mad, did spot a few wearing them in Chicago though.

ahhh, chicago. where bikes and cars going 80 kph share the streets.

  • This thread is Paul-Michel's lasting legacy to the forum. A helmet thread that will never die.

    Sick bastard.

  • i appreciate that the choice exists to wear a helmet here, which i respect.

but in australia it is compulsory to wear a helmet and it is drilled into you at primary school, repeatedly, so it becomes second nature.

came off my bike, over the handlebars, a few years ago; the helmet i was wearing had a dicky visor on it, which took the initial impact of the road. that shattered and the helmet foam made the next connection. then my face.

hence i will always wear a helmet.
yes i will look like a dickhead. but a dickhead with teeth. and eating wins over aesthetics every time.

Holy shit thats quite the face you have there. Can we have another pic for....comparison?

I refuse to get involved in this debate but keeping your teeth is a pretty good reason. I use my teeth like all the time!

  • What I am trying to say is: do this somewhere else. It's boring.

And thanks for bumping it then...
