• I think Mosquito and BLB both carry Soma stuff. If they don't have them in I'm sure they can get them.

I remember BLB have the Major Taylor, but not sure about the Noah's Arc, but I need to pop round to ask them.

  • AMAZING LITs!!

    the best.

  • Cinelli Popes were actually called Valencia

They're lovely and have somewhat come back into fashion so Cinelli decided to reissue them. Great.
Of course now they only come in black (for that retro look?) and with a OS 31.8 clamp. For F's sake.

Oh to complete the crazy trans generation look they also do a leather tape - £70!
Which, as you can see, even they weren't stupid enough to put on black bars. No, on the silver ones they don't do anymore. Great, thanks cinelli.

  • Do anyone know where I can get the Noah's Arc or alternative in England? I'm after those.

Ed am I your new favourite person? £7.99 BIN

  • :D ^

legend! PM him for fuck's sake!

  • Ahh that look great! thought not exactly the same curve sweep as the Noah's Arc, but at least it's an decent alternate, thank mate!

  • picky picky.

Flip these around and chop the ends in a bit and they would look pretty sweet!

  • Just got this 3ttt bar / stem combo off my old mans tandem. (I know the bars are upside down)

Ooof! That bar/stem is bloody GORGEOUS.

this is my favourite of 'the lists'.

+1 Tomasito's been at for ages, but this is the year of the funny bars for me. Banging some belleri's on my Path bike for a new riding position whatever the era-correctness fail.

    johnp3004, excellent find. Thanks.

  • Got my midge bars a couple of days ago, for my utility bike. Really stiff, nice amount of top flat for such heavily flared bars, good width for control on mild trails, and brake hood hand position should be perfect for comfy road use. So far I'm really impressed.
Just need my Tektro RL 520s (V-brake compatible drop-bar levers) to come back (long story), and I can start putting it all together.

  • +1 for Midge bars - i've got them on my ss pompino - which i used for the Surrey Rumble a few weeks back - 100 miles that day - comfy as you like, though the fashion police aren't big fans.

My utility bike is all about function over form. Designed to commute through Norwegian winters; carry 50 Ltrs in panniers; or carry the nippa to nursery.
When the upgrading is finished finished it'll be...

Brandless, clear coated, alu hybrid frame
    Carbon cycloX forks
    Deore MTB groupset with V-brakes
Deore hubs laced 36 spoke 3x (plan to go 40 spoke rear, in future)
    Full mudguards
32/28mm (R/F) tyres in the summer 40mm studded for winter
    Midge bars with bar-end shifters.
double panniers with zip-on top bag or child-seat.

If it was'nt so utility-like, I would'nt have been able to justify building so much fun into my fixed ;)

Nice, these may have to feature on a build in the (very distant) future.

  • can anyone tell me about 3ttt Moustache bars.. are they good quality? I got offered really cheap and thinking of purchasing for my new beater.. I know nothing about them, any advice would be helpful

  • handlebar are handlebar, if it is comfortable, then keep it.

it's 3TTT, I somewhat doubt that quality would be an issue.

  • thats what Im trying to establish, is 3ttt a cheap substitute or good quality.. couldnt find any info in my search

  • define 'good quality', as in likely to break or as in it look pretty enough?

  • 3TTT make quality components. Done.

  • I noticed above for example a link that has substitute bars for 18 quid...are they any different in reality to say the Nitto bars? Im trying to ask if 3ttt are quality or not
