Details? What size are you after? Any preference on clearance? Price range?
I might have a wheelset (on-one LF rear on a Mavic CXP-33 and 'matching' shimano deep profile rim 16 spoke front) , frame (22" Raleigh 531 with fresh red enamel respray), brakes, bars, stem, bmx lever, and some other odds and sods available in the next couple of weeks. Drop me a PM if you think any of it might be of interest.

Just got your message - rydon is now the (presumably proud!) owner of said Raleigh frame. I'll keep my eyes open for frames for you.
What type of thing are you looking for (ideally)? I'm back up in Brum a couple of times over the next week or so and was hoping to call in at my old LBS which always had a stock of reasonable quality (anything 531) frames that they'd get powder coated (can be a little rough!) and hang up to keep as replacements/upgrades to customers' knackered frames.
Seeing as Birmingham has no cycle culture to speak of nevermind fixed 'community', I've no doubt that they still have loads and could probably pick something up for about the £50 mark. I've lost your number so just PM me your mobile and if i find anything I'll give you a buzz. -

I forgot to mention to you last night.... you can fit a freewheel to a fixed hub without any bother but not vice-versa if you wanted to give fixed a go - lots of benefits over freewheeling and it's really easy despite what some people seem to think!

ok cheers, ill probs stick with a free wheel untill i get used to the bike and then go fixed.
so with the wheel set im looking at (with the thread striped on the fixed side of the flip flop) could i run a freewheel then put a fixed cog on the same side when i want to go fixed?
do you understand that? its hard to put in words :P -

yea thats possible, id recommend locktighting and and blasting up a few steep hills tho to get it super tight before skidding.

Hello all
