possible italian thread?

Was it a 'Primato' hub, as far as I am aware Miche hubs have their own Lockrings, which have Italian threading, as opposed to British threading.
I could, however, be completely wrong.

ah, there you have it. If two people say it, it must be true.

• #5
Thanks then people. Italian it is. :)

miche lockrings work but most say they are rubbish. Italian threading is correct for miche hubs.
So now three say it, it totally true. -

speaking of miche hubs, does anyone know the difference between the x-press ones and the primato? is there a difference? i've seen both online for similar prices...

X-press and fixed/free, primato are just fixed
Miche lockring are made out of cheese, very soft cheese

so since everybody says miche lockrings are crap, which ones are good and will fit on miche hubs (i.e. italian threads)?

don't forget the lockring must be tall enough to hold the carrier and the cog in place if you're fitting a miche cog, also ask to see if it fits before purchasing as i've been sold the wrong lockring on 2 occasions at condor

problem is with those -if like me you're using the miche cog system- that they're not very high (deep?) so they only apply pressure on the seven 'teeth' that hold the cog in the carrier whereas the miche lockring makes contact with a good part of the cog itself too.
this may be based on misinformation or wrong assumptions on my part, so if anyone has a campa lockring could measure the outside diameter, that would be nice... the miches are 44mm. -

Condor lockring is 39mm
A friend of mine was given a wheelset for his first fixie. He was missing a lockring and I had a few spares so he came over to collect one. Well, neither of my lockrings fit. It's a Miche hub, but I didn't make note what model it was. I was wondering: Is it possible that Miche hubs have their own type of lockring?
