Yep, had one of those. Out of 8 fingers (thumbs don't count), I've put one through a cog. one through a blender, and another I smashed in half with a fire door. Only 5 to go...

I'm guessing the worst bit is having to turn the cranks back to get your finger out, or is that all done in shock instantly?

definitely wouldn't do that.

Easily done checking chain tension and linger for a second. it fucking hurts!! you have that "do i roll it back or do i go all the way" decision..
The worst bit is having to scrub out all the oil and shit from the gash. scubbing back chunks of flesh to work the dirty oil off is a real gut churner. next time use the tip of your spanner to check the chain tension ;)

Why would you check chain tension whilst spinning the pedals? children it not big and its not clever - fingers off moving drive chains !!!

My eyes are watering at the thought of the pain that would result from this!

Just got back from the hospital. 48 hrs later and it seems the attachment is healing well already. Been on some amazing pain relief that has completely spaced me out for 2 days.

you don't spin the pedals just roll them over to check for tight spots throughout the chain, quick and easy just be sure to tap the top of the chain eh...
