There is a world of difference between 52 and 56cm. Maybe get him to try some bikes first?

is this for one of the barmen at se drinks? i have 52cm and 55cm pugs. if its for who i think it is maybe the 52 would fit him (need to sort out the forks though). i will be at se drinks tomorrow so maybe chat then.

Nah its for someone slightly taller, 54/56 would probably be ideal for him, did you meet my flatmate Rik last time, I know he met a few of you guys?

don't know if i met rik, i'm not good with names. i have a 55cm pug. at the moment it has a seized stem/fork situation (it wouldn't bother me but the stem isn't quite straight). i have tried various techniques to remove it but it wont budge. i have a replacement fork that i got from bikedestroyer was thinking of cutting the old forks/stem off. it isn't anything too special (carbonlite 103). i could take some pics on my phone and show you at se drinks if you're there see what you think.

I'm after a 52cm pug - are you looking to sell it?

You have an addiction! :p, so what was wrong with the wheels on your bike at the moment eh...eh!

I brought my Brompton home this weekend too :D
But no, I do need a pug, I have nothing I can go to the supermarket on without hyperventilating that my bike is being molested. I was even considering taking my Pinarello to Tesco yesterday after the chainring bolt attack.
I have no excuse for the wheels apart from the Halo hubs and those purple rims match my crankset EXACTLY. They might even make my bike look well thought-out instead of like a clownbike. oh man I'm excited. I might even get some new bars and a brake lever that's not stuck on with electrical tape. eee!

You think thats cool, you wanna check out my mismatching grips! I'm now on one green charge grip with no flange, and one grey shadow conspiracy bmx grip with flange, it looks rockin! You really should start securing your saddle somehow though, or better yet, remove it and take it with you, they are proper tea leaf magnets lately!

I did try taking my saddle with me the other day and couldn't get it out, so either it's seized or I'm a weakling. I'm going to rely on other people being weaklings as well until I get off my arse and get hold of some ball bearings. (I may live to regret this strategy)

Hehe, we were just discussing the origins of "The Bendix" in another thread http://www.londonfgss.com/thread19957.html#post631042

I really should do some work....

You should just quit your job and work full-time on making sure every person on this forum thinks I'm 83.2mph faster than I actually am :D

I could be your PR dude..... or something!

Oh yeah and apparently pitlocks are quite good, I only found out yesterday my flatmate has them on every nickable allen key based object on his bike.

CrazyJames, I have an SJS winter/training bike I am looking to sell. It's a really solid bike that just runs and runs. Its about 54" c-c. It has a fixed/free wheel, currently a 44t CR with 18t freewheel and 16t fixed. BB could do with being repacked with grease but is fine. All other moving parts are smooth.
It is by no means a HHSB as is, more of a 'sensible' bike for a 'sensible' person. Very comfy stable geometry but a little tight as it has some small toe overlap (only a problem, if that is a problem for the rider, when running fixed). Tange CroMo tubes, discontinued SJS own-branded Taiwanese bike bought complete. Lugged. Postbox red with yellow 'http://www...' decals. Some stickers applied by my four year old, makes it look even less nickable. Narrow ITM drop bars, mid range shimano brakeset (two brakes). Thorn cranks 170mm, MKS sylvan road pedals, half-toeclips. Currently got touring style 28 tyres on, replaced recently. New black full mudguards. Leather bar tape. Basic saddle.
If your pal is interested can have a ride of it at my house, E2.

(this is why I need a pug)

Nope don't think they do them for chain rings unfortunately, got them for ahead stems, seat clamps and a couple of other bits though

this any good for you?
http://www.londonfgss.com/thread19877.html
So my non-forum based flat-mate is beginning to see the light, and has ditched his car in favour of a bike, now he just needs the bike, budget up to £300 for the right bike.
It doesn't need to be anything exotic etc, just a relatively good quality bike in the 52-56cm size range, so yeah PM or post up here if you have anything that may be of interest
