greg, thats probably not far off the truth!
someone at work says the tensioner might jsut need re-tensioning, so not going to write her off just yet until a garage has definately written the motor off, although i'm bloody close to attacking the vectra with a polo mallet.
thanks for will's number rv, although i'll have a chat with him tonight about cars. :)
