open source is certainly nice, but when it comes to phones, i just want the thing to work without too much of my time and effort. i like to tweak my computers and i dont mind them being complicated, but phones and mp3 players should just work.
the battery is going to be a bit of pain in the ass. ive got two chargers, one for home, one for my bag. i dont really mind too much though. the call quality is alot better than my old sony which is nice.
